Role Description

The Licensing Operation Specialist is a business operations professional responsible for supporting commercial executives in closing Volume Licensing (VL) deals and seeing them through to processing. You will manage the pricing of VL deals and work with and through the wider sales teams, both internally and externally. You will be measured on execution metrics that ensure on-time and quality deals. You will provide expert advice and consultation to the sales team in relation to licensing solutions for customers. You will be the escalation point for any requirements to deal with pricing or adjust customer contract details. You will need to demonstrate an insatiable appetite to continuously learn as well as energize. You will ensure the Volume Licensing solution meets customer needs by creating and proposing Volume Licensing solutions to small business customers and enterprises. You will act as a Volume Licensing Consultant for the sales team to find the optimal licensing solution.

Responsibilities:

A) License proposal analysis and preparation

B) Escalate approval requests or problems

C) Prepare and provide presentations on licensing programs and pricing.

D) Develop and report on the enterprise agreement’s business health, specifically focusing on recapture and cloud mix.

  • Agree on the best commercial deal for the Demand Response and Customer Success businesses through the definition and negotiation of the commercial terms in collaboration with the inside sales representative, customer success manager, or partner.
  • Prepare the deal pricing and documents.
  • Manage any discounting or changes to customer contractual terms, obtaining required approvals.
  • Manage key stakeholders to meet critical deadlines.
  • Lead internal sales operations through the sales process, optimising for the right level of investment and customisation.
  • Land new and/or on-time revenue by overseeing the deals from negotiation to processing and invoice.

  • In-depth and strategic understanding of Microsoft licensing programs will be essential but not required at hiring

Qualifications & Certificates

  • BA required
  • 3 – 5 years of sales operation experience is desirable
  • Field of Study: Business, Management, IT, Commercial Sales
  • Sales and partner management, sales processes and methodologies training
  • Fluent English at a professional level is essential. Fluency in another EMEA language is desirable
